The Vitus Energie cross bike sits pretty
at a very welcoming price point. It comes in just under £1000 for the
complete bike you see here. So that’s a robust aluminium frame with a full
carbon high modulus fork. Not too bad I don’t think. With that you’re lavished
with SRAM Apex One groupset as well as these rim and tyre combination from WTB. As you can see the WTB rim and tyre
combo looked rather girthy. 23 millimetre rim width shot with 35 millimetre tyres
should enable you to tackle most cross situations without a fuss. The energy
follows trend with the internal cable routing which helps keep the cables from
dirt contamination. Along with the modern thru-axle hubs
with tubeless really set up featuring classic tan walled tyres. The Vitus Energie is a great
entry-level versatile bike which could be enjoyed beyond the race course.
Vitus also offer three other models in the Energie range with a £1200
alloy Energie BR with SRAM Rival One and two all carbon bikes offering one with
SRAM Rival One at £1600 and a SRAM Force model at £1800.
As with all Vitus bikes you get a quality frame with high spec components
for a competitive price. Absolutely ideal if you’re looking to dip your toe into
the muddy puddle of cyclocross for the first time.
