Using an eBike for Exercise: Electric Bike Workout!


Hey, what’s up? This is Mikey at Blue Monkey Bicycles to answer
one very important question: Can you get exercise on an electric bike? The answer is ‘Yes, absolutely!’ *scoffs* There’s a lot of people get an electric bike
specifically for that purpose. Top either trim down, lose some weight, or
even rehabilitation after some serious surgery or something like that. An electric bike is a step towards cycling. It’s not a step away. For a lot of people (myself included) we wouldn’t
bike if we didn’t have an electric bike first to get us more excited, to get us more comfortable
on a bicycle at all. And can you get exercise on the electric bike
while you’re using it? Yes, absolutely. They work the same way:
When you get onto a conventional bike you sit on top and you move- use your muscles
to pedal, you use your muscles to steer, and to balance yourself. Same thing on an electric bike. The difference is you’re going farther, you’re
going faster, and in most cases you’re having a lot more fun… which… encourages people to use the electric bike
at all. And that is (although not as much) that’s
