This is where the Orange83 videos are made | MY NEW DESK SETUP TOUR

Hello everyone. Welcome to Orange83. Rrecently I moved
into a new space and a lot more has changed since the last time I
showed you my workspace. And also post of my new desk set
up received the highest number of likes so far
on my small Instagram account. So I guess you guys would appreciate
a new office tour video. Let’s start off
with the studio side of my small workspace. This is mainly used
for shooting product videos. In the back against
the wall i’m using a Savage Promo background stand. I chose this one because the feet
are very compact. As I mentioned,
my workspace is not very large. It’s somewhere between 12
by 14 feet. So that’s why I love
the compact design of this background stand. In front of that I’ve got
some portable light stands for my Aputure lights. These lights are awesome. They are small, but the very powerful
and they can also work on batteries which makes
them portable as well. You can change the brightness, but you can also change
the color temperature. There’s a wide range
between 2300 and 6800 Kelvin and that is super helpful
to get the right white balance in your videos. They also include
a small foldable softbox and this assembled it’s all
very Compact and that’s why I also use them on the go. In front of this hole
in the center I’ve got a custom-made table
of a scaffolding wood and tubes. And on top of that
I’ve got two acrylic plates that make this ideal
for product shots, for example, or for some shots
of my humble assistant. And by the way, for those of you
who want to learn more about the products
featured in this video, you can check the links
in the video description. The next side of my office
is not very exciting just a few closets
from the Swedish House Mafia. But still I think there’s
one thing worth mentioning and that’s the stand
for my tripods. I don’t know about you but here the tripods
are always in the way. So that’s why I took
some wooden beams screwed and glued them together and now I’ve got this simple
but practical tripod stand. Now on to the next
side of my office where I spent most of my time. In the back against the wall
i’ve placed a lot of foam sound panels. I’ve used the 30 centimeter
panels from Gear4Music for that. I’ve put about 50 panels
on my wall and it really helped me to improve my voice
over sound quality. These panels really helped reduce unwanted noises like
sounds of an air conditioner and they also help to reduce
the sound Reverb or room echo. Let’s have a listen
to an example of an old recording done in my previous office
without acoustic panels. Hello creative filmmakers. Thanks for watching orange 83. So as you’ve heard
acoustic panels could make a huge difference. Okay, let’s jump
over to my desk. My desk is also custom
made the frame is made out of scaffolding tubes or pipes and the desktop
is made out of oak wood. I’ve also used
scaffolding wood before but the surface was uneven and it made it kind of annoying
to have a wobbling keyboard. So that’s why I changed it. At the back of my desk. I’ve mounted Phillips Hue
a light strip. And by the way, I’ve also got a Hue color lamp
or a light bulb and a Hue Go. These Phillips lights
are connected via a central Hub and they can be controlled
remotely with an app on your phone. If you want you
can add more lights and control them individually
or as a group on this app. And this all works
great, pure quality. I have to say that this system
is quite expensive, but I can highly Recommend it. It is so much better than these cheaper lights
with the separate remote that you’ll find anywhere
under various brand names. Okay, let’s have
a look at the stuff that I use for editing
on my desk you’ll find to BENQ PD 2720 U monitors. I’ve already made the full
review on this BENQ monitor. But to summarize it’s
a 27 inch 4k monitor with a beautiful
thin bezel design. The colors are accurate and you can switch color spaces
with the included hotkey puck. And it also has a USB hub which I use for
my wireless charger. Overall, it’s a relatively
cheap professional monitor with great specs
but it has shitty speakers. And that’s why I still run these
old bad boys from Logitech. For those of you
who want to know it’s that is the Z2300. I’ve used these speakers for 14 years and they
still work perfectly. So no need to replace
them anytime soon. And I think they also start
to look a little bit retro. Next up we’ve got
my stupid keyboard. It is The Cooler Master SK 650
is Slim and mechanical keyboard. To be honest I bought this one for the looks and it
does look great on my desk. But after using it
for a few weeks now I still cannot get used
to this keyboard. Somehow the keys
are positioned in such a way that I keep pressing
two keys at once. Maybe I should spend
some more time with it, but for now I’m thinking
about a replacement. So if you do have
a good alternative, let me know
in the comments below. For my voice overs I
use the road Studio kit. This is a bundle of the NT1 condenser microphone
with the AI1 audio interface. And I have mounted the microphone on
the road psa1 Studio arm. This complete Studio kit
has replaced by old rode nt1 USB microphone. Although the microphone
itself is similar to the interface does make
a difference in sound quality. And you can also easily adjust and monitor recording volume and
turn the monitoring on and off. And to finish it off
let’s have a look at my PC. I’ve assembled this one
around one and a half years ago, and I’ve also made a full build video in case
you want to check that out. It’s a overclocked Intel i7 8700 K processor on
an Asus Maximus 10 motherboard. It also includes 32 gigs of RAM
and a 1080TI video card. I’ve planned to do a new built
in the near future. Let me know in the comments if you would like to see
a video about that. And to conclude this office
to your video, I need to show you my trophy! It’s more than a year later, but now it finally
has a spot on my wall. And that concludes this one. I hope you enjoyed it. And if you did then
please like the video and also let me know what you think about my setup
in the comments below. Thanks again for watching. See you next time on Orange83
