The Gentlemen’s Rules Of Mountain Biking

Scott I’ve got one question yup Why on earth are you dressed like that? Today Martin, We’re talking about the gentlemen’s rules of Mountain Biking Well Mountain Biking is a friendly sport so what are the gentlemen’s rules? Well they’re the polite Do’s and also the Don’t’s when you’re out riding with your friends, or just riding in general So no faux pas for you guys, watch this video and you’ll be all clued up! to me a lot in fact Scott it happened last time we were riding did it yeah let the faster rider go first it just makes sense, really isn’t it if you go down and you’re holding someone up well you’re not letting them have as much fun as it could be having. my tell you what there’s nothing worse than when someone snakes you in the trails oh I love it we don’t understand you see someone ahead of you and you like see a little passing in the point and you just go for it get in their way you might love doing it but that person doesn’t love doing it so be polite and don’t be a snake. Scott this one goes without saying if you’re out on the trail and you see a fellow rider say hello it goes without saying definitely you’ve just got to be polite, hey man how you doing hey Scott it’s easy be courteous hey Apollo right hey whoa Scott I hate it when I’m really going for on a trail and there’s some guy in the way he’s got a puncture I’m like get out my way! Martin, what that’s not fair you should actually just stop and help the guy he might need a tube you might need tire levers there even a pump put my run my time I mean it’s not strava all the time sometimes you’ve got to stop because you know let’s get back to the top you know he’s right I tell you what martin yeah built a brand-new jump love it yep and someone comes over and cases it especially a big mark in the landing where they’ve case to the tires gone in and ruined it and then they just ride off it’s not don’t even fix it not the done thing if you cased a jump you know about it yeah get the shovel out and fix it skidding on a new trail what could be wrong with that it’s just not fair in the trail builder it’s bad for the environment and there’s trail deterioration it’s just a no-go breaking caution required no skid marks none Scott uh-huh have you ever heard the story of the man who went up the down hold that guy that guy oh the guy got hit by a bike that was coming down cuz he was going up it’s just it’s beyond stupidity isn’t it I think it’s explained be the gentleman go down the trail you meant to go down and got the trail you meant to go up don’t go against the green yes do you like giving back to the trails that you’re ride on absolutely these things take time and cost money do you know what the best way to give back is? go on pay for your parking give a little trail donation help the Builder out and then you’re gonna get more trails it’s a win-win scenario I feel now Scott I learnt this gentlemanly rule back in the day when I used to practice trials in places on the street where maybe I shouldn’t ride, now if a security guard came up to and said get the hell out of here (what even is the accent?😂 ) the best thing to do is just leave. oh dude martin told me about this real sick secret trail oh yeah isn’t that the one that he said was on private land yeah yeah but no one’s gonn- GUYS GET OFF MY LAND That is basically how you make sure you’re a gentleman out on the trails just follow those rules that’s simple as that and whilst you’re here you probably want to watch some more videos from GMBN, if you click right here you’re gonna get to 5 ways to impress your mates and if you click here you can see some more mountain bike secrets in our unwritten rules and if you click somewhere right between Martin and I you’re going to get to subscribe and by subscribing you’ll never miss a video from GMBN again one every day of the week and don’t forget to thumbs up like
