The Fabiolous Escape 2 Machine – Bike Check Fabio Wibmer

Hey guys it’s me Fabio as you can see I’m finally making a bike check of my Fabiolous Escape 2 bike My collarbone is getting better after almost 6 weeks I can finally ride again and it should not take too long to be 100% fit again A lot of you guys asked me for a bike check of my downhill bike which I was riding in my newest video today I’ll talk a little bit about the details of the bike and I’ll give you an overview of the bike I’d say let’s start Ok frame It’s a Specialized S-Works Demo frame in the size L and with a custom paintjop in a very flashy orange with very little details and shiny flakes which looks pretty nobel and with the camouflage green I personally really like the combination of these two colours and it looked pretty cool on snow as well pretty stoked on how it turned out and the feedback of guys was pretty awesome too I’d say let’s move on Rims these are the Roval Traverse rims the brand of Specialized carbon rims also Roval hubs really really solid It’s actually the same wheelset which I was riding in Fabiolous Escape for the whole time Never had any problems so they are definitely very strong and they are super light as well which is sick the whole bike in general is super light I think around 15kg Never had such a light bike but yeah next are tires Continental Baron tires in 27,5″ A lot of you guys asked me if I was riding spikes or not I didn’t use Spike tires in all of the clips always with the standard Continental Baron tires which was very solid the reason is because it was a little bit too dangerous for me to do all these stunts with spikes really have to say that the performance of these tires on snow was very solid and sufficient I was actually suprised I was riding a tire pressure of around 2.8-2.9 bar really high pressure usually i ride about 2-2.2 bar Exactly…then what’s next? suspension In the front we’ve got a Fox Facotry 40 fork with kashima coating I don’t need to say that much Everyone knows that it’s a sick fork The setting is really stiff Especially in Fabiolous Escape 2 because i did a lot of flips and because i needed a lot of feedback from my bike and that’s why i ride it stiff just to get an instant feedback of the bike and the suspension didn’t have to compensate many bumps in the back we’ve got the Fox DHX2 shock with a spring it’s a 550 spirng the setting is also very stiff fast rebound and just in general very stiff and hard in the front as well as in the back really stiff so that I can do flips that I can do double flips and that you just get a good feedback from the bike exactly then… What’s next Cranks are the Sram X0 i think these carbon cranks are known for beeing really good never had any problems with them so very very solid cranks on the cranks I’m riding flat pedals from Crankbrothers the Crankbrothers Stamp in Large I put the screws further out to get even more grip even on snow and in icy conditions it was a dream to stand on these pedals then… gearshift it’s the 7 speed X0 gearshift from Sram don’t have to say much about it really awesome and it does what a gearshift is supposed to do alright then… what else do we have Brakes of course who stops you? of course your brakes which was really important while filming the video I’m riding the Magura MT7 raceline brakes I’m riding the HC3 leaver which I really like as you can adjust it as you want to have it and it’s a 1 finger leaver as well which I really like brake discs have a diameter of 203mm these are the Magura Storm HC discs very solid, didn’t bend one everything was fine the brakes are definitely just amazing the seat is also from Specialized it’s the Specialized Phenom seat you probably think that it’s really low for a downhill bike I put it down for the video because I did a lot of flips where I had to make me small also i had to be very agile on the bike that’s why the seat is pretty low on this bike this is the riginal setting of Fabiolous Escape 2 Handlebar I’m riding the Renthal Fatbar carbon handlebar which makes the bike again a little bit lighter and it’s very robust Stem is also from renthal and yeah what else Grips are from Specialized and I think that’s pretty much it i can’t find anything else but if you want to know something which I didn’t mention just let me know in the comments However That’s it from the bike check i hope you like the bike as much as I do I think it’s a really awesome machine and I’m really looking forward to ride the first downhill tracks with it I’ll get another downhill bike which will be my racing machine I can then make a bike check about that as well but that’s it from my Fabiolous Escape 2 machine Hope you liked it as much as I did amazing bike I couldn’t ask for more Thanks for watching until next time Ciao
