Tandem cycling for the blind without a tandem bike

(Actual product may differ from prototype) A wearable trekking guide stick for all First test day Second day of test with eyes closed Riding at 5-10 km/h Loosen harness could not hold the stick upright and made direction sensing more difficult. Cycling and handling with eyes closed is possible. And it is a wonderful experience. Now let’s try it on a real blind guy. First, on feet. Prem, 19, totally blind He said, he used to be “towed” by friends to ride when he was younger he enjoyed that short riding until age of 9. Recently, he enjoys riding tandem bike with sighted friends. Now let’s roll!!! This was the best bike we could find on test day. Mini bike’s dynamics is naturally quick and hard for practice. We discovered that blind children like cycling so much that the tandem bicycle in the school would break too quickly. Only ordinary bikes remain. So we thought of making something to let the blind enjoy available ordinary bikes, with minimal or no modifications to the bike. And this smile is the answer to the success of what we tried. Prem seemed happy and he biked better that a blindfold guy. Just needed a little more practice 🙂 There’s more to tandem cycling than just a tandem bike. Scientific Artists
