Mountain Bike Adventure in the Sydney Blue Mountains

Hey, this is Henry from We Are Explorers and we’re all about microventures. Today we’re on an adventure
in the Blue Mountains and we’re heading to a
place called Splendour Rock. Come along for the ride. The Blue Mountains are
about a 90 minute drive away from Sydney, or a train
ride into Katoomba. When you arrive at Katoomba,
grab your mountain bike for an epic 10km ride to the
end of the Narrow Neck Trail. This should take you roughly 90 minutes and will give you some of the most spectacular views of the Blue Mountains. Once you get to the end of the Fire Trail, take a breather, lock up your bikes, and begin the 15km hike to Splendour Rock. This should take you
approximately four hours. There’s no phone reception from here, so those Facebook selfies
can wait ’til later. So after a big day in the mountains, there’s nothing worse than a tin of beans. What we’ve done is we pre-marinated about eight pieces of rump cap. Give it about an hour’s cooking and we’re gonna put big
smiles on our faces. Wake up for an early rise
and head back the same way. But before heading back to Sydney, make sure you check out one of the many amazing wild swimming holes. We’ve had the most amazing weekend. We’re here at Minnehaha pool. It looks pretty inviting. I’m getting in for a swim.
