India’s First Four Geared Electric Bike Update One | Chain Drive V/S Belt Drive


Hi, guys, I am Shalin and all of you are welcome to tech tube 360 And he is my friend Tejas Hi friends India’s First Four Geared Electric Bike video received a lot of love and appreciation from all of you and I heartily thank you all If anyone of you has not watched that video then I will put a link to that video in the description box from there you can go and watch that video Today’s video is dedicated to those viewers who have posted a suggestion in the comment section and taking care of those suggestions we have come up with India’s First four geared electric bike update one So let’s see what are those updates The original meter of the boxer bike was like this and the ignition key slot was inbuilt in the meter console so we changed the meter with Yamaha SG’s meter console and We opened that meter and I will show you the digital display like this one which we fitted inside the meter console we used this DC watt-hour meter so that we can have a check on battery voltage and other parameters we can have a readout form this meter like 53.28 v battery voltage as the bike is not running the real-time current is zero Amps and it’s instantaneous and real-time power is also zero and till now the watt-hour meter is showing the reading of 1862 W/hr consumption after installation Now I will twist the throttle and show you that how real-time power and current readouts are shown in the display like as you can see this is showing 1.31 Ampere and the power consumption is 68 watts to 67 watts So as soon as I increase the throttle likewise the power and the current and this energy meter keeps appending every watt consumed so that from this you can also come to know that at any given point of time what is the total power used by bike and battery voltage can also be monitored form this reading here. So this was one of the important update as I mentioned previously that ignition key was slotted in original meter console so what we did is as this meter does not have that housing for the ignition lock so we took PVC pipe with end cap made a hole in the end cap for the ignition lock and fixed entre lock assembly in that so as you can see this was fitted nice and snug yet another update in the video is the charging socket with a lid is fixed in this side cover because many of my viewers complained to me about where is charging socket as it was beneath rider’s seat now its placed at easily accessible place and now I will show how charging takes place and can be seen in digital display the battery voltage is rising so this was a charging socket update So friends this is the major update as if you have seen in the first video that at this place there was a chain sprocket drive in this bike, there are two transmissions used primary transmission between motor and gearbox and secondary transmission between the gearbox and rear wheel So here we have replaced the primary transmission between motor and gearbox that chain sprocket drive is replaced with the belt drive for that we took two aluminum pulleys the belt is toothed which is the timing belt passing over these pulleys will drive our gearbox. what are the advantages and disadvantages of this drive I will tell you in a while. First I will let you listen to the sound that this drive makes and we will compare that sound to chain sprocket drive so just listen to the sound of this drive now I will let you listen chain sprocket drive sound a lot of my viewers had a concern about this cover as this part was kept open in the previous version that was to maintain chain sprocket drive but a lot of viewers shared their concern about this in comments that in moving bike there could be a chance of an accident if your pants get stuck in revolving chain sprocket drive so that was a valid and genuine concern of viewers so we covered the entire portion of this cover and left no window open as there is no chain drive in here we do not need to open this cover as well so this entire cover is now covering the drive in accordance with the suggestion from viewers so friends as I mentioned in the video that why we used the belt drive and what are the advantages of belt drive over the chain drive the primary advantage is that in comparison of chain drive the belt drive runs very silent and smooth and does not require maintenance if you wanna know the advantages, disadvantages of chain v/s belt drive then I have described in detail in the description box wherein you can read them all how did you find today’s video that you let me know in the comment section If you loved watching the video do like and share this video If you are not subscribed to channel yet then please do subscribe and press that notification bell icon so that you will stay updated for our new video And I will see you in my next video Till then bye bye take care JAI HIND
