GT Sensor Affordable Mountain Bike Ride and Review with Trail Features

Out there Oh you got severe Roof it can do stuff ill tell you what we are on last run of the day. We are literally on the last gondola. It’s almost seven o’clock here at Keystone we had a great day of riding out here with Joseph and Joseph gave me a challenge. he said why don’t you try my GT man? It’s way cheaper than your transition but I guarantee you’re gonna love it. And I said, alright, dude, let’s do this So Joseph tell us give us a little rundown on your bike. It’s more of a bike check I’ll kind of tell you guys what I think and what I feel about it after I get done riding it but yeah Just tell us about your bike, man All right So stock this bike comes in at 1900 or dollars, which is still a fair bit of money But compared to some of the high end bikes that are shown on social media and stuff This is actually pretty affordable. So what we have here is a bike with 130 in the front That’s a rock shock. Recon RL pretty good budget air fork Nothing special you can’t run any tokens, but it does have compression and you can adjust the rebound Now in the back we have something a little bit special. This does not come standard on the bike This is a rock shock super deluxe Rc3 that I bought used for 190 bucks It was basically pull off from an evil reckoning I think in the back you have Some more stuff that got swapped out So right now I’m running a box 46 this is 11 to 46 tooth 11 speed cassette That’s made it to a SRAM NX derailleur SRAM NX Shifter the brakes are still suck. They are the tech TRO Whatever they are the other mod that I did was a P&W Dropper post this is their 125 mils Rob. So yeah, this has a 65 degree head angle for climbing you have I believe it’s 75 degree CTA on the GT so pretty steep It’s not the perfect bike but no bike is perfect. But I think this is kind of a really fun bike for the money I’m really curious to try out Joseph bike so yeah, let’s get to it saying already feels like a monster truck, but The Alliance is off. These little jumps pretty good See how it lays into a corner Yeah, it’s true A little less travel than I’m used to I think you said we’re running somewhere around 130 front and rear It’s pretty nimble on the front end so Getting it through these corners pretty easy not sure what the weight is on this bike, but You can’t feel it a little bit. Is that the end of the day so My legs are already a little bit tired by it It’s got a pretty good pedaling platform to it Pretty responsive to the pedal strokes Brew Got the big 29er wheels so, you know, those things are gonna roll Out there Oh you got some air Brew New stuff that you want For a biking at sub 2000 mark I’m loving it. The suspension is pretty active It doesn’t feel chattery So it’s really absorbing these bumps Not too bad for a rock Sox, I think he said recon upfront I think he said he switched up the the rear shock. He’s doing some playing around with those settings. So You know maybe that helps it a little bit in the rear suspension, but that isn’t doing all of the work so Overall the bike just feels good I Mean coming from a bike. That’s a lot lighter than this You know, I don’t want to keep coming back to that, but you do feel the heavier bike It takes a little more to throw it around But it’s doable Oh The bike is doing really good, but I can tell you right now She’s got those old stock rubber grips on here and Whoo, you can totally do it. There’s no shock absorption whatsoever really taking its pull On my hands my wrists Tell you what, this bike really needs small upgrades First thing I think I do if this from my bike Good offset, ESI extra chunky grips on here Whoo, yep See we do now, oh nice yeah All right I can honestly say oh, yeah Honestly say I’ve written way more expensive bikes that didn’t have the same type of Just kind of comfortable ride platform that this does The fact that it sexy pedals pretty good is you know, absolutely surprising to you too. So It’s really got some good things going for it Even with that pretty and for your level Component I treat you. Yeah GT Zonda something. I think I really do Jumped off You know what 2,000 bucks I’m not sure that this would be like let’s say a race bike You know if you were looking to do some really aggressive Competitive racing. Duis, you are just starting out and surpri find out the bike you’re looking for You know, there’s better option than the GT line for that stuff that’ll save you a lot of way better components that type of thing but for two grand you Know for somebody who is let’s say that weekend warrior Just likes to get out and ride Doesn’t want to have to worry about you’re dropping $4,000 you’re tearing up a $4,000 bike once same type of similar ride feel and this You know, I really was not anticipating liking this bike when jealous it was like hey man, why don’t you try my budget option $2,000 bike You know even Joseph himself is kind of you know said that hey, there’s definitely something better out there and I Mean, I agree to some extent for sure. I mean money you can throw money at anything You know, I don’t think that the bike is necessarily gonna make the rider You put some pro level rider on this bike I guarantee you he’s gonna ride it pretty darn close to the same way $10,000 race bike. So yeah. I’m I am absolutely liking bike Oh, yeah All right All righty this bike just goes right for it it’s crazy. I don’t know if the way it helps doing the satirical 4:0 ever Driving the highest walk all day Alright so I just finished up my quick ride review of joseph´s GT sensor his budget build which is their their entry level bike 2000 under $2000 worth with some customizations some small customizations. Honestly. He didn’t do a whole lot to it Just some small tweaks and I mentioned a couple things that if this was my bike, I’d pray too, but overall, you know I had a really good time riding the bike. I didn’t think that I was gonna like this bike Joseph I really wanted to hate this bike. I just I just wanted to hate it Okay, but I honestly can say I I didn’t these guys are gonna hear it throughout the video I mean I pretty much praise a lot of things about this bike I Mean what are some of the things that stick out for you with this bike? Why do you like this bike? so first off I do have a history with GT but not time II think the very first real mountain bike that I had was a 98 GT which shaved my parents bought that for me and my dad and I used to Go mountain biking all the time. So I have a lot of great memories with GT. I Really saw a lot of people getting so caught up with buying the biggest most expensive Bike that they could barely afford. I wanted to show that. Yep Nineteen hundred dollars can buy you a lot and I didn’t spend that much more Alright, so that was a quick bike check on Joseph’s twenty nineteen GT sensor the $2,000 option. Actually, it’s sub $2,000 I was pretty impressed guys. If you guys haven’t checked out trail features, go ahead.
