Game Of B.I.K.E. – Who’s The Most Skilful GMBN Presenter

Game Of B.I.K.E. – Who’s The Most Skilful GMBN Presenter

– Welcome to GMBN Game of BIKE, where I’m gonna put these
professional YouTubers through their paces. They’re competitive. They’re hungry. It could get messy. Let’s get on to the first challenge. (peppy reggae music) Okay, challenge one, we’ve got
two purposefully built trees. We actually made them ourselves. They’re not real trees; they’re fake ones. They’re there, the guys have gotta wheelie from one tree to the other, turn around, and get back past the other
tree in the same wheelie, or, the wheel can’t touch the ground. Is that right, Neil? – Sounds good to me, Mike. – Right, and Neil, what are the potential dangers in this challenge? – Well, you loop out. – Loop out. – You could, potentially, snap a tree. – You could snap a tree, that is a danger. – And, you could look
quite, well, you could be quite embarrassed if you can’t wheelie. – (laughs) That’s not gonna happen, ’cause you’re professionals. Okay, let’s get on to challenge one. – So rules, I’m just trying to
get my head around the rules. My front tire mustn’t touch this ground. – Okay, here’s the ground rules. There seems to be some confusion, there’s two trees. – Like this, Blake. – You must wheelie from one tree– – So, we go from one to
the other, and you go, (yells) not like that, though. – [Mike] Okay. – You can’t damage the fake tree, either. – Let me explain the
rules of this first test: You’ve gotta wheelie from one tree and then back ’round the other tree, back to the tree where you started, but your front wheel
can’t touch the ground. – The ground. – It could potentially touch these walls, if you wanted to, but the wheel must not touch the ground, and if you snap a tree,
that is also a fail. And, would be quite bad for
the channel, in general, ’cause we don’t like snapped trees, really, that would be bad. – The brand wants a wheelie. – First up, we’ve got Neil Donoghue, an ex-World Cup downhill
rider, famed for his speed, but has he got the dexterity
needed in this challenge? I don’t think he has, I
don’t think he’s got it. Just my opinion. – Ninety-nine nine junior National Downhill Champion, as well, Mart. Nah, We’re all square, here we go. – And he can’t wheelie, The wheelie looks good. – I’m nervous, I’m nervous. The wheelie looks good. – [Blake] I heard that you can– Oh, he didn’t make it! – Okay. – [Martyn] It’s Doddy’s go. Go on, Doddy, your form looks good, can he manage the weight on the tree? He has, he has, he’s still He looks pretty good. – That’s teammates, did ya see high five? Watch me potentially not do this. Watch me do this. – [Mike] So it’s just a wheelie, Blake, that’s all this is, really. – This is a German wheelie. – [Mike] It’s a wheelie challenge. Wow, that’s a lot of control. (whimsical music) Oh my god. – So long as we’re not
touching the ground. – [Martyn] He’s gonna go up. – Dammit, damn! – Clever idea, clever idea but it hasn’t worked. – I was just gonna ride along there. – And that is a fail, that
means you two have got a letter already. – I didn’t realize, in games
of B.I.K.E., you cheat now. That’s really good idea. – Yeah, because that’s
not the ground, is it? – I know, it’s a good idea. I’m complimenting you for cheating. – [Blake] That’s a letter each. Yeah, and do like some rap, on bikes. You can do that. – This is my first game of B.I.K.E., I don’t know how it works. No one’s told me yet. – You’re winning. – Oh, sort of hangman, but with letters. I like it. – You got it, you got it. Just bringing Doddie up to
speed on mountain biking, not a problem. – Okay, right so, Blake has got a B because he failed miserably. Doddie smashed it, he’s got
no letters at this point. And Neil was so, so
close, but it was a fail, as I predicted, and he has also got a B. Next challenge, to be set by … Doddie. Doddie’s gonna set the next challenge. Tough trials challenge from Doddie now. Two steps to negotiate. The second one means you’re going to need to hold your balance with a
drop onto another set of steps. And we’re choosing the third step. The riders must land on the third step. Here comes Doddie. This is his challenge,
he should fly through it. He’s up on the top already. Onto the third step, and off, it’s clear. Let’s get a bit of Ashton cam on this. Neil Donoghue’s turn. Yes, first step, easily
on the second, and clear. Blake, can he keep up with the other two? He’s looking very confident, third step. This just isn’t a big enough challenge. – You gotta gap from there, to there, and go through the arch. – [Martyn] Well that’s a big
kind of road gap, really. – Foot gap, foot pump gap. – [Mike] Wow, that’s a good
four meters across there. – Good luck. – [Mike] Along this
road, fast as you like, this point you would start moving over, the gaps coming in sight, I’d cut across around there. – [Biker] And you cut there. – [Mike] And you jump, and you’ve got to get to the other point of grass. – Where Doddie is. – [Martyn] Where Doddie
is, and through the arch. It’s not easy. – [Blake] And it’s windy. – It’s quite a long hop. It’s quite a long hop. That is not a camera man. We do not have any assistance in these videos. Right, here comes Blake on his first go. (ding) – [Martyn] Oh, he nailed that. – He nailed that. He made that look easy, boys. – [Neil] Is there unlimited run up? – [Martyn] Unlimited run
up, Neil, your favourite. It’s some preparatory turns. He’s building the suspense for
us both, and here he comes. It’s classic and, oh no. – He’s checking right around. – [Mike] No, he’s backed out. He’s backed out. Classic Neil, down hill pose. Look at him, he’s putting the power down and he’s flying, he’s absolutely
flying towards the gap. Here he goes. (ding) He’s done it. He did it. – I’m actually so bad at that turn. – [Martyn] I got a little bit nervous there and I think I lost him
in the shot, I apologize. – Hey Doddie is right, you need to be. Join the club. – [Blake] I nearly hit it with my head. You probably will actually hit that branch with your head. Here comes Doddie, he’s got the speed, oh no he didn’t like the feel of that one. How did it feel Neil? – That’s quick scary. – [Martyn] Yeah you did well. – I was going really fast. – [Martyn] I got a little
bit nervous for you, and I may have cut your
head off in the shot. – Don’t worry about it. It’s not the worst thing
that ever happened to me. – [Martyn] Just want to point out Neil, that’s not a camera man behind you. We don’t use camera men. We film these things ourselves. – Hey remember if you case it– – [Martyn] I’m here to be entertained. – Don’t count? – [Martyn] Come on in dude, have it. Here he comes, Doddie’s got the speed. Don’t think so. It’s too late to back out now. Oh! B. Wa wa wa wa. You went so far. Doddie gets a B. Alright next challenge. – I’ve got a dirty challenge next. – He’s got a dirty one. – [Martyn] Neil’s got a dirty challenge. Please explain. – You’ve got to bang down
those steps over there, hop over a gapped flat and
also hop over the next ledge. If you touch either of the
ledges, you got a letter. – Let’s go take a look. Okay here’s the deal,
Neil set this challenge, he’s saying that you gotta roll off this very steep drop, and
there’s a double step, which is really hard to roll through. But you’ve gotta keep some speed, because then you’ve got
to jump the entire ledge of the second descent, land,
then bunny hop the third ledge, without touching it. This is gonna be pretty interesting and I don’t think any of them
are gonna be able to do it, but Neil is crazy and he
set a crazy challenge. (laughing) Ow, hot hands, hot hands, ow. – [Blake] What do you think, Doddie? – I think I can do it for starters. (laughing) I see what he’s doing, he’s
coming in at a bit of an angle, so he can just pummel off that, hop there and gives himself
more room to go to the next one. – Tom the competition’s got out of hand. They’re trying to kill each other. (ding) (laughing) – Wow, that was good. – That was mental. That was good, that was good. – It’s not as tight as I
thought it was gonna be. – [Martyn] Well, fair play. (laughing) – Do you wanna have a look at the run. – I think there’s an I coming up now. – [Martyn] Right Blake’s (mumbles). He stayed up on this ledge now. Oh blimey. (ding) Easy! It was good, it wasn’t as dramatic. – No I’m not a dramatic kind of guy. – Neil has a lot of pace. – Neil’s flat out guy. – It’s just (mumbles) isn’t it? – Doddie’s gonna struggle, I know. – Doddie, I think Doddie’s
gonna surprise you. (laughing) Here he goes. (overlapping chatter) The old lady’s bottled
it, but Doddie hasn’t. Here he goes, he’s got good speed. Faster than I thought he should. – [Blake] Yes, yes, yeah! (ding) You nearly hit that bit. I thought you weren’t gonna make that. – [Martyn] But he did. – I wasn’t worried about that. I was worried about the
front wheel (mumbles). – That was well done man, nice one dude. You smashed that. We need to up the anty on
these challenges amazingly, it needs to get harder. Let’s let Blake set a challenge. – Manual this ledge. I got one, you gotta manual this ledge. All the way. (upbeat music) (ding) – Nice. First go. – Going now. Going. – Oh oh oh, he’s on the edge. Ah no. That was close. So close. Go Doddie. (upbeat music) Ah. – It’s that turn, dude. Well done. – It’s my popping this big old chip off. It’s quite hard. I like manual, that’s very hard for me. – [Martyn] Well that was a good challenge. – That was a good challenge. – [Martyn] That was a good challenge. Blake goes clear. Neil and Doddie get a letter that puts Neil on … – B-I. – B-I. – [Martyn] B-I. – B-I. – B-I. – [Mike] B-I? – Yeah. – Bye. – And what you on, Blake? – B. – B. – B for Blake. – [Martyn] Alright, you’ve still
got the honour then Blake. Next challenge. – Oh, down there. Down there. – Okay here we go, this is my challenge. It’s a trial section, so
I’m gonna test their skills. Blake walk your bike through, it’s up this step, up
the following three steps across the platform, another step, three more steps, through the gate, then a left hand turn up the steps and out through the finish. Punch the sky, you’re a trials god. – That’s hard. – That is not what’s gonna happen when they do it on their bike. Okay and this is quite a hard section, so I’m gonna allow the guys one dab. – One dab. – So if your foot does go down, use it ’cause you’re allowed one dab. – One dab. – I’m gonna use it on the first go. – Right Blake, you’re up first. Don’t hog your front
wheel into them steps and do a big buckaroo over front. Oh he nearly did. (laughing) He held it. – [Martyn] He can’t do it now, no chance, not from there. Not someone with his skills. Can’t be done. (laughing and sounds of amazement) – [Martyn] He’s not out yet. Don’t celebrate too early. Is he gonna get greedy
and try to be stylish, or is he just gonna get the job done? Let’s see. Here he goes. Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh. Oh he’s got one. (ding) He used his one dab well there didn’t he. – Yes, I was scared for my life. Thank you every one. I’ll be here next week, same time. – Now Doddie, do not dive nose dive into that second set of steps, alright? – Have you seen how long
the length of this bike is? (laughing) – Oh so you’ll do on top of it. – Here he goes. Doddie trials meister. That’s what I used to
call him back in the day. – Oh windy. (overlapping chatter) – Wind. You had wind, or it is windy? – [Doddie] Both. – Okay. I don’t blame you. – Come on, Doddie. – Here he goes. He’s gonna dive that front in. (laughing) – One, one. – Oh get up here, get up. -Thats clever thats clever – How the hell are you up? – Nice. – Oh that was nice. Use your space, like it. Like it. (laughing) That is a long bike. – It is a long bike. – That is a long bike. – That’s what happens when
you’re a big, long guy. – He’s gonna piece it together. – Oh! Oh he’s done it. – This is amazing. He’s used his one dab. Yes, he’s got it, he’s got it. Can he get the big old bar,
jump this last set of steps? – [Blake] He’s got it. He’s got it, he’s got it,
he’s got it, he’s got it. (ding) (cheering) – Oh that was good. He looked doomed at the start. – I think I’m gonna pass out. (laughing) My brake lever was going
like this the whole time. I was like, no. – I am allowed an excuse? Oh you’re going? Oh yes. (laughing) – [Martyn] One, use it, that’s one. That’s your one. (laughing) – [Martyn] Take your time
Neil, take your time. Use that one dab, ’cause you have no more. – [Blake] You are doomed now, dude. – [Martyn] Here he goes. Can he get it back like Doddie did? Super smooth. I had no idea your trials was this bad. (laughing) Oh my god, control it, control it! (laughing) (cheering) Unlucky mate, that’s a letter. – That was freaking good. (overlapping chatter) – You battled it to the end. – Wow. – Okay this is the next challenge. It’s the slide challenge. Me and Blake found this the other day. You’re gonna have to manual down it. It’s pretty tricky, so what I’ll do is I’ll demonstrate first. Blake if you just assist me a little bit. – Yeah yeah. – It’s a full manual right to the bottom. – All the way to the bottom. – All the way to the bottom dude. – Just go. (laughing) Go. (laughing) That was sick. Just like that. – Just like that. – I think I can do it without you. (laughing) Right manual the slides. (ding) Neil’s done it. – Neil’s done it. – [Martyn] Neil’s done it, it’s passed. Uh oh. – That looked like a fail to me. That looked like a fail. – I gotta redeem myself. – They can never just
take a fail can they? They can never just give
it a, yeah I failed, I’ve got to prove I can do it. Oh he’s going in early. Oh he did it. Yes! You did it really nice. – [Blake] That was good, wasn’t it? – But you still get a letter. – Ah what? – You failed it first time. Neil did it first go. – [Blake] B-I. Lift that thing dude. Ah he dropped off it. He did it, yeah that’s it. – Does that count? – Yeah it counts, it didn’t touch. Dammit. – Well that means that we’ve got a B-I– – B-I. – B-I, and a… – B-I. – B-I. – I think we’re gonna have
to speed this up a bit. – Hold on. We’ll rise over the hole,
right over the hole. – Just do it, right over the hole. – Just that one there. – He’s dropping in really fast. – Dang crow. – There’s a crow in the way. – Oh my gosh. (laughter) – It’s not world cup dude. It’s the world cup for him. – You were going quite fast then. – Oh my shoulders felt that. (laughing) – I’m not sure you needed that much speed. (laughing) Go on Doddie. (laughing) No way. – I can’t pull off on this bike. – What is that? B-I-K. B-I-K Doddie. (laughing) There’s Blake. (ding) Oh nice. That puts Neil on B-I-K, Doddie on B-I-K and Blake on– – B-I. – B-I. Okay we’ve got another
challenge here at the park, it’s really difficult. There’s these two mounts,
but in between them, we’ve got three wooden railway sleepers. The riders cannot let their
front wheels touch the wood. So it’s a pretty tricky ride. Wheelie across one, get it lined up, wheelie across the second,
get it lined up again and then wheelie across the third. Alright I’m gonna get some letters here. Here goes Neil. Nice. First log clear. (laughing) (clapping) Yeah! – Biggest crash ever. – I think we call that a letter and you’re out Neil. – This is hard. – [Martyn] That was an E for you wasn’t it? – Yep. – Neil’s out. Shame man. That leaves Doddie and Blake. And Blake you’re … – [Blake] B-I. – And Doddie’s on… – [Doddie] B-I-K. – [Martyn] So yeah we
want Blake to go first. He’s cleared the first log. He’s cleared the second log. And he’s gone clean
and he’s stayed on B-I. This is it. – Your bikes like this long. – [Blake] True story, yeah. -This is where the new rear mech comes straight off – The maintenance will be
replacing the rear derailleur So at least that works. – [Martyn] He’s done the first one. That is a long bike. The back of the wheel is still hanging over the back of the hump. (Laughter) – [Blake] Go on Doddie. You’ve got it. Yes don’t touch that wood. – [All] Ah! – No! – What! – Wa wa wa wa. We’ve got ourselves a bike winner. (laughing) Well done lads. – Good challenges, my dudes. – That is a win for Blake Sampson on B-I. These two are out. Game of bikes are sick. – What did you say at the
beginning of the thing? Best presenter wins, right? – Best human wins. – Oh right. – Blake is the best human. Thanks for watching. You can see more GMBN videos by clicking over there by Neil, which
