Epic Mountain Bike Crashes | GMBN Crash Reel April 2018

– [Blake] Hang on. I’m going to use this
carbon seatpost as a hammer. (laughs) (hammering) Shed repairs going on. – Oh. Oh I’ve broke that. That was an accident. – Mum please stop coming in the shed, we’re trying to film Fails and Bails! – Welcome to this month’s
Fails and Bails special. A compilation, a competition too, of all the best crashes
you guys have sent us into the Dirt Shed Show. Blake, we’ve had some
great ones, haven’t we? – Oh we’ve had some
absolute crackers coming. – Literally, crackers. – We are cracking up,
well at your expense, I’m sorry, but. – Yeah. – It’s the only way to progress, really. – It is, it is. So in the fun of learning,
and experimentation, let’s a take a look at all your best bits, the winner is gonna win a GMBN goody bag, with a drizzling of a few
bits from our sponsors , if we can find any, but
definitely some GMBN goodies. – ‘Cause I think there’s
a few in there that are gonna need some new clothing. – Let’s not promise anything. Keep it steady Blake. And you guys are gonna
pick the winner, actually. We’re gonna narrow it down to two, you pick between those two in a poll at the end of the show. So stick around for that,
let’s get into first one, which is from Dan Trawdog. And this one’s a special
to start with Blake, ready? – I’m ready. – Here we go. – [Blake] It’s nice and green. – [Martin] Come on Dan, keep us going. – [Blake] Oh there’s a puddle. – [Martin] Get us excited, oh no a puddle. – [Blake] That clothing
might come in handy, then. – [Martin] Oh my god (laughs). (both laughing) – [Martyn] Wow! – [Martin] Oh my god, he’s– – [Blake] Did he plan that? ‘Cause that was a. – [Martin] He has. – [Blake] Look at him! what did he think
– [Martin] What did he say? – [Blake] Was gonna happen?
– What did he say? – Listen (laughing) Let’s watch the crash again. I mean, honestly, I’m
not really sure what he was thinking was gonna happen. – Don’t know what he was thinking. Didn’t even lift up the front tire, kept- Oh my.. Look at the frame. Oh look at it. Oh my goodness. (shrieking laughter on loop) – He’s happy as a pig in mud, or not. (video laughter) He just left his bike. – Oh man. – I don’t even understand what he said. – He’s coming up with
some serious audio there. (video skips) – That’s a good one to get
this whole thing kicked off. Muddy. – Muddy, a muddy start from Dan Trawdog. Is he in contention, Blake? I don’t know. – I don’t know, he needs a new jumper, he needs like a new t-shirt cause that one – He’s definitely in need of winning, but is it gonna be enough? – No we’ve got so many good ones. – Marillo Lemur is following it up with quite a special crash. I mean they’re all special this month. They’re all special. – Oh this one. – This one’s nasty. – This one is, this could. – Straight in to it, it’s short but sweet. (beep) – Oh Trees don’t move, do they? That tree did not move, even budge for that fella. – It’s gonna take me a moment. – Play it again. – Wow. It comes in so fast. – He over jumps it and
listen to him he says (beep) A tree just clotheslines him. – Knocks him out. – (crashing sound) Get off your bike (crashing sound) – Look at that. – Oh he’s out, oh actually he’s out cold. (video skips) – What I can’t understand
– Only in Australia – That’s so bad, watch. – Look he’s out cold. – We shouldn’t laugh at this stuff. This isn’t funny. This is not funny. – [Video] You alright? – Are you alright?
– He’s not alright. He is not alright, no. – He just hit a tree at 34 miles an hour. – He’s just laying there, hopelessly. – We’re in for a serious
day of Fails and Bails. – Right, so going from
the tree smasher-er, – Yes. – Straight in with Sam Dunsmore, look at this one Mr. Ashton. This one is ridiculous. – [Video] Third, third, third, third. – What’s the ‘Third, third, third, third’? Is he going ‘Third,
third, third, third Jump’? Cause he hasn’t even
made the second one yet? – [Video] Third, third, third, third – [Blake] Oh man. – It’s a good stop that, he snaps the forks clean off. Whack. What a start, look at that freeze frame. Look at that freeze frame. – [Blake] Look at that pause. – [Martin] That’s incredible. – That is insane. He’s just corpsed, – He just got taken out. – he’s just slap. – Sam, that is – [Blake] What a shame
because he did break his forks on that. – That is a shame because the
forks did get snapped off. – If we had a forks
sponsor, he would have been – A good contender. – If we were giving away
forks, but we’re not. – If we did like a GMBN belly pan. – He would be number one at the moment, because to be honest he is looking, just laying there. – I don’t think Sam’s got enough from me. I think we’re gonna need more this month. – Did you know what he’s saying, ‘Third, third, third’ Do you reckon he’s a motocross dude and he’s like third gear, pinned to get over to the next spot. – Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think it might be
like a group mentality, third means something in terms of like go, go, go. It’s like Third, third, third, go. Third to them is pinned. – Just like Dennis, Dennis, Dennis. – [Martin] It’s a lot of Dennis. – [Blake] Well it’s three Dennis’s. – [Martin] Right. – [Camera Man] Maybe
they knew they were going to be the third clip on Fails and Bails. Maybe they knew. – How did they know though? – How did they know. – Third, third, third
clip yes, (crash noise) That was a good one. – That’ll do it. Maybe that’s how. – It could be. – They’re messing with
our heads now, Martin. You guys right, next one. – Right, fourth clip of the day. – Four, four, fourth. No. That’d be scary. – Come on, entertain me with your smashes. I want to be shocked and stunned. – This one we are gonna
be shocked and stunned. – I don’t remember this one. We’re just waiting for it to load. Oh here we go.
– [Blake] There we go. – [Martin] We’re in.
– [Blake] Droppin in. – [Martin] He’s far away. – [Blake] Come on. – [Martin] Do something
special, surprise me. – [Blake] He’s gonna crash there? – [Martin] No, I hope not,
we’re not close enough, I want to see it, I
want to see the details. – [Blake] He’s coming in,
he said he’s on his way. – [Martin] Not going really fast. Oh he’s going over there. (beep) Did he just try and stand on the handles? Did he just use a four letter word? Did he just try and stand on
the handlebars over a jump? – He ejected. – Stop it, now. He stood on the handlebars. – [Blake] Why is he
stood on the handlebars? – [Martin] This is more like a – [Blake] That gaps a bit too big for him. – This is like how not to jump. – Watch this guy. – And release. – He stood on the saddle. He looks like a monkey. – [Martin] Look at, he like
totally foot taps the bar. – [Blake] Oh he does! (beep) – That is crazy. Little bit of, – Oopsie, little (beeps) – Little whoopsie there. – He’s just laying there now. – I feel like we’re winding our way in to Fails and Bails today. – Well we are. But that was a good one. – Cause these are sort of good crashes. Christian James, nice effort, but it was more silly, than up there. – It was like he didn’t
expect to jump so he ejected. – I feel like Dan Trawdog started us off, and now we’ve found a
little bit of a plateau, and we need to now ramp our
viewers up a little bit. – Right, watch this one. – Lauren Larson, has he got enough? – Has he? – He? She? Lauren? Lauren? Not sure, here we go. – [Blake] It’s windy. – [Martin] We got the perfect hill. We’ve got the wind, we’ve got the jump. (imitates crash) That’s what I was talking about. That’s what I wanted. – Well he’s in the right
place for scorpions, cause that’s the desert. – Take a body and slam
it against the floor. – Don’t you know you’re
supposed to belly flop in water not on mud, sand on the ground. – It looks like a sand topping, but don’t be misguided, there is a rocky center to the earth. – [Blake] Oh my good-
he went over the- smash. – Wow, the reaction
says it all, it’s a oh. – Goodness me. – Sort of funny, – They’re quite serious
this month, aren’t they? They are very serious this month. – Can I just see that
one just one more time? – Of course you can, yeah. – Just pause it. – Where? – I want full action on the floor. – Really? – Here we go. One, two, – Oh my god. – He’s literally on the floor. – Where’s his leg? Look at his legs. – I think his leg’s turned the wrong way. I don’t think we can show that. – You can, but then you have to censor it. Cause it’s so scary. – I think his leg’s around the wrong way. – Why is his leg the wrong way? Look at his leg? – Why are we laughing? – I’m not. – This isn’t funny, I’m laughing. Why am I laughing? – Why are you laughing? Is that even leg or is that his arm? – No, I think it’s like, like that way. – Well he’s doing a hand stand. – The thing is that’s a foot. No. – I hope this guys alright. – Okay moving on to the next one, – We don’t know. – Moving on to the next.. – Right, we’re going on to Russ Anderson eight year old son. – No I don’t like it when it’s young ones, really, it’s not my favorite. – Well we’ve gone from hitting
trees to smashing in water to crashing and now we’re having a child – I like young ones doing well, – [Blake] Oh he’s doing well. I like the tune. – It’s gonna happen, oh. That is how not to wall ride. You don’t wall ride with your body. You wall ride with a bike. – [Blake] I’ve seen that
happen so many times. At a bike park. – Look at him, he’s so
good, he’ll have us all… Actually you know what to be fair, it looks like he’s done it before. He don’t look surprised by it. – Cause he’s got the
jump, and he’s got it, and then he goes in, ahhhh, poor little lad. – Just a brave attempt. Now what is that lad’s name? That is… – It doesn’t say, it’s just this. – Russ Anderson’s eight year old son. Russ, good little bit of video. – Master Anderson. Poor little guy. – You could be in the
running for a bit of a prize. – You could be. – See that’s my favorite so far. That one had the most spirit. – It is, yeah. – I kind of like the sound of the helmet rubbing along the planks of wood. I just feel that’s kind of funny. He looks safe. – It did look fun, it didn’t look nasty like the guy who hit the tree – I like a crash, but
when you can’t work out which way limbs are… – That’s scary. – I’m still affected by that. Francisco Enzunza, the rider is Jesse. Multiple injuries but
getting back to riding soon. That’s worrying. – That’s not great, is it? Do we need to watch this? Yes we do. – Come on, oh no. – I don’t even want to press play. – Hit it, come on. – [Blake] Oh it’s rocky, Martin. – [Martin] Come on Jesse, let’s see it. – [Video] Lean back. – [Martin] Lean back, brilliant advice. – [Blake] Dennis said it. [Blake] Ooooohhhhh – [Video] Oh my goodness, Bobby, you good? – [Blake] Oh my goodness. – [Martyn] Bobby. – [Blake] Oh my goodness Bobby. – [Martyn] Bobby, you still alive? – [Blake] Hey, Bobby. – [Video] A little stick. No, I don’t want to fall on you. I’m coming. – [Martyn] I’m coming, Bobby. – [Blake] What you done, Bobby? – [Video] Damn Bobby. You crazy (beep)er, you good? You got your stomach? – [Blake] When and what arm? Oooh there’s blood. – [Video] Show em your mountain bike face. (laughter) – [Martin] Oh man there’s a lot going on here I want to get into. – [Blake] Oh my god, look I like his.. – [Blake] Did he rip his sleeves off whilst hitting the trees
cause where’ve they gone? – [Martyn] Stop it, mate. – [Martin] Right, first of
all, it says his name’s Jesse but he’s calling him Bobby. And he’s wearing.. – [Blake] That’s the one
who’s filming, Jesse. – [Martin] Oh right, I see now. But Bobby’s wearing the worst t-shirt. And I don’t think he crashed. – [Blake] He needs to win because – I think that tree
jumped out and hit him. – Oh my goodness, Bobby. Are you okay? – Go. He endows into a tree. That is the sickest stopping (squeals) Wait, it’s the train. – It is the train. It’s the horrible tree train, – The train’s back. (squeals) – Choo choo, all aboard. (laughter) – [Video] Oh my goodness, Bobby. – [Blake] That’s my favorite. – [Blake] You what? – [Martyn] Bobby. – [Blake] Aw that’s not Bobby, now. Hey Bobby what happened to
your sleeves on your shirt? – [Martin] Look at his legs. They look broken, they’re
just laying there. I think we’ve just got
used to the mangled legs. – Oh he just pulled
that stick from his arm. No look, listen. (video) He just pulled that stick out of his arm. – Ouch. – Now it’s just taken a whole new meaning. – I think its still means he can’t stoppy. – Look how big that stick is. – I don’t really think
that’s what’s happened here. It wasn’t that a stick went in his arm. – No look, there’s the stick. There’s a stick, he just put it there. He just pulled it out of his arm. That’s the stick that went in his arm. – That’s a big stick, isn’t it? It’s a stick in an arm, I mean. – Well this just went from ha to oh my goodness me that
stick went in his arm. – Have you got different levels? You’ve got different levels? – Yeah, right. – It’s hahaha and oh my goodness me. – For me, I think that’s my favorite. – It’s pretty good. – Bobby is my favorite. – For the moment, I think it’s Russ Anderson’s eight year old son and Bobby. – It’s not, it’s Jesse. – No, it’s Bobby. – Oh it’s Bobby. – They’ve renamed him. Okay next up it’s Alexander Toskov and he’s gonna attempt to
ride over a water square. – Square thing. – Bit of plumbing out on the trail but a concrete plumbing. – Look at that thumbnail,
it looks terrible. – It doesn’t look like
this is gonna go well. It looks like – Did he try like back flip, flip, drop? – No, flip drop, it’s
obviously a flip drop. – Should we watch this flip drop though? – Go for it. He hasn’t got enough
speed for a flip drop. – [Blake] No way. Oh he’s got it, going for it, go. – I’m insulted by that. Alexander I’m insulted. He didn’t lift the front wheel up. – That’s rule number one
when going off drops. Always lift the front wheel up. – It makes total sense. – Look so you can see it, he comes in. – [Martin] Oh he does the
little bonk on his thing. – [Video] Oh my god. – Oh my goodness me. – You know what, I don’t
want to give Alexander too hard a time because I can tell from going up the step he can ride. – Yeah he used the little back bump bump. So he lifted the front wheel. – It’s that it all comes a bit quicker than he’s expecting. – He got up and then just. He was like super stoked going up. – I like how he bike
gives him a little shunt, up there like, – Down, you stupid idiot. – Stupid idiot. – Stupid like a cobra. – Next one, that’s not up
to standard I don’t think. Next one is from Ross Elliot. He’s a very lucky guy, this dude. – Is he? – Unlucky in this crash
but once he got to meet me. – That is very lucky. – That is pretty lucky. – That is lucky. – That doesn’t happen to everyone. – I’m unlucky cause I meet you every day. I’m lucky you know, yeah. I get to meet this day all day everyday. – Right lets carry on. Ross Elliot has sent this one in, he did get to meet me once at the London Bike Show, good on you. Nice of me. We’re gonna see you on one
of your less lucky days. – Because this is one
of your less lucky days. – Bit of a tree issue. – Cause you’re involved with this months Fails and Bails. – Let’s have a look. – Press play? – Go for it. You’re not that good at
pressing play, your fingernail. – [Blake] That’s a big gap. – [Martin] Oh man. – We never get to see those ones. – I hate those. Have you ever hit your coccyx? – Yes and it hurts so bad. – Man, and the thing is it’s really funny about when you hit the coccyx, and I didn’t see it happen there but I’m sure it did, is you get up and you try
and run away from the pain. – You’re like that. – (imitates scream) you’re
running (imitates scream) My ass. And you’re running as fast as you can away from the pain you can’t escape it. – You can’t escape that
pain, it’s terrible. – You can’t escape it. – But we never see loop parts on jumps. On landings it’s always over the bars. – So this is quite a talented crash. – [Blake] Wow, let’s see that again. (man screams on video) – Aw man we missed out on that. – Let’s listen to that again. (man on video screams in pain) (man on video screams in pain) – That’s a good impression, let me try. (man on video screams in pain) – No you missed the second bit off. – Oh what? I was knocked out. – It’s ahhh, ahh. He’s running, at that point he gets up and runs like the wind. (man on video screams in pain) – Don’t know if he’s got any wind there. He’s pushed it all back
up, landing on his bum. – He has stuffed so
much mud up his rear end in that crash it’s unbelievable. Unbelievable, he’s
sitting on a pile of mud. He is plugged, he is plugged man. (man screaming on loop) – It’s like a song. – Could you make some music
out of that do you think? – Would you make some music? Liam’s brilliant at making tunes. – Liam make a tune out
of that for us, go on. Go on, please. We’ve got to have a tune out of that cause that was really funny. There’s two really beautiful noises. (man on video screams in pain) You can do a lot with that. – You could. (remixes crash and
screams to a techno beat) – It’s the end. – What the flip? Actually I don’t particularly
want to see more crashes. – I’ve got three that I think
are absolute contenders. There’s some meaty ones in there. I’m a bit worried about what the outcome was on a couple of them. – Two of those actually. – I think the eight year old kid he’s got to be in there. I think the last one there, Ross Elliot. Rotisserie himself, that. – Bobby. – Bobby. – Bobby. – Bobby-Jesse. He’s got to be in there. Are those our three? – I want that one to
win, I think that one. It’s not up to us though. – It’s not up to you
guys but we’re gonna give you the choice of three. You get a choice of three. You get to hit the poll, – What about the tree one? – We’re gonna go between Russ Anderson’s eight year old son hitting the old wall ride, – Poll’s above my head. – We’re gonna go with Bobby. – Yes. – Bobby? Bobby? – He pulls a stick out of his arm. – I wonder where Bobby’s from? I reckon he’s from Texas; Dallas. – I was gonna say Texas, Dallas yeah. – And the last one,
Ross Elliot, rotisserie. He got a plugged. – He came on with the best noises. – Plugged and had to run from it, but you can’t get away from the pain. – The winner will be announced
in this week’s, next weeks? – Next week’s Dirt Shed Show. – Next week’s Dirt Shed Show. – So you’ve got a week to decide but I’d get straight on it, it’s in the poll, the winner gets a GMBN goody bag with a drizzling of sponsors bits, if we can find some. They’re not guaranteed, – No – But they may be in there. – No, but maybe. – But if not there’s gonna
be like a really nice hat probably from GMBN, race
top, maybe a hoodie. – Race top, I know who needs one of them. – The whole point is it’s a goody bag and you’re not sure what’s coming. Yeah, Bobby. Bobby needs a race top. Make your decision, send it
in on the old poll there. And we will be well chuffed, if you’ve been having big crashes, then make sure you do send them in. – Yes. – To [email protected] we will put them on the Dirt Shed and we may feature them on this show where you can win a prize. Couldn’t be better really. Thanks for watching this week’s fails. Make sure you stay with us by clicking on the old globe, there. Blake, have you got a video
you’d like to throw to. I’ve got one ready. – Are you gonna be the
same one as I’m gonna be? – I’ll go first. – Okay. – I’ll go first, I’m gonna send you to our curb training. – That’s a good one, I
was gonna say that one. – Curb training alright
so I’ve taken your, what about my restart
mountain biking then? – I was just gonna say that one are you taking words out of my mouth? – Click over there. There’s only one thing left to do. – Give it a thumbs up, like. – See you next time.
