this is an ordinary scooter and this, is an awesome scooter after watching this video, you’re going to forget the typical idea that scooters are kids’ stuff or foolish, because it reaches 80 km/h “wow this is fast man” being faster than the typical 50cc motorbike those motorcycles that go “meeeh” And regarding acceleration it feels even faster than a 125cc it speeds-up so fast that, without exagerating your neck goes back and you have to hold the handle because otherwise since you’re standing still it gives the feeling that it’s going to scape, you’re not used to that kind of power So that you’ve an idea the usual electrical scooter that you see on the street has motor of 250 watts. Well, this one has one of more than 2500 watts ,which is 10 times more but in each wheel, that is, more than 5000 watts Probably, many of you’re thinking, because is what a friend told me, “where are you going that fast, the moment you pass over a stone you’re going to fall and break your teeth” I also thought that, nevertheless I said we’ve come to play, let’s test it to the limit and see how it goes, and my god… Its suspension system is incredible, as the one of a car or a cross motorbike that absorbs the bumps, stones and even the kerbs, without effort. That is, you can you can climb a slope, jump half a meter in the air and land as if nothing happend since it has frontal and back suspension; the frontal one is as an articulated arm very interesting , and the back one is the usual basculant system as in a motorbike, that is, even if it goes through a big bump or land from a high distance, your knees won’t suffer nor will the scooter break because it has 2 fingers’ thickness in the suspension arms. It isn’t as the usual bicycle, of hollow aluminum this one is thick, what makes it to weight a lot. It weigths around 30kg but the lightest motorbike weights around 100kg, so it feels as a feather when you’re riding it the only inconvenient is that to climb stairs if you live in a 5th floor without elevator is a bit complicated, but the moment you have some strenght with the two arms you can easily lift it. And moreover, if you install a handle in the back which looks like a little aileron and makes it easier to take it much more comfortably. In summary, lifting 30kg with just a hand isn’t easy, I don’t know if you have ever tried with a dumbbell or something like that but with the two hands is pretty easy. I guess I should have said this before because the autonomy of an electric vehicle is what interests people the most. You have 80km in eco mode that, is using it with one motor without having an awesome start, but a more controlled one. However, even if more controlled you end up going at 40/50 km/h in a moment, so it is pretty good. Nevertheless, I barely used this mode, because from the beginning I used doble motor, turbo at its maximum, and the first half hour when you go down the scooter you’re legs tremble a bit and I’ve ridden quite fast cars and all of that, but this is a new sensation, something different, you even think “I’m going to die at any time” it gives that feeling and that is great. Some time after you get used to it and go all the time at maximum speed The thing is that you don’t think “it could be faster” at 60km/h you think “It’s ok… we’re ok like this”. However, it is not so much a question of speed but more of how the scooter delivers it. It’s instantaneous, with sudden moves…it is awesome, like using nitro all the time. and what is even better, knowing that you are not spending anything, you reach your home you connect it and you spend not even an euro in charging it. You don’t have to worry about changing the clutch or the oil or anything. You use it today or in a month, you use it all that you want and it works perfectly. By the way, the battery is charged in about 4/5h but there are many variables here, because it has 3 charging sockets so you can use two chargers, without exaggerating, and it charges twice as fast, or use one supercharger which delivers a lot of power. It also depends on the version you buy, because you can choose with more or less battery but the usual is that in more or less 5h it is charged. And the inside cells, which are like batteries, are from top brands like Samsung, LG or Panasonic as any electric car. So the lifespan of engine, the batteries and all of that is very high, the only thing you have to worry about is the wheels because with that much power, stop making drifts…and all that stuff causes the wheels to be very used in a couple thousand kilometres A real example is that the wheels are usable up to 4.000 km if you ride quite hard, drifting with the maximum power and all that stuff without caring much, let’s say. Talking about the brakes, and this is important because in something like this, going that fast at some point you will have to stop all of a sudden in a short space…well, you won’t have any problem because it has disc brakes in each wheel and besides, as the mayority of electric cars, it has regenerative braking so as not to eat the brake pads in a moment I suppose the mayority will already know this, but if not it is when you press the break and the motor works as a generator, as a dynamo in a bycicle, and that energy produced by the movement goes back to the battery and this is great because when you use a device like this in the city you will have to stop all the time because imagine that you are in the sidewalk and you see a kid or a dog, or a man at some distance, and they can move at any time so, the best thing is stopping first, before approaching them to pass them with security. But especially when you approach an intersection or in summary, to go with some precaution. And this, is something that I like pretty much: its size is practically the same as the standard scooter, that is, even if it is much more powerful, with better suspension and all that, its lenght and height is the same, it is only different in width, where you put the feet because there , there are many more batteries. And of course, I wanted to see this so I opened it, it has some allen screws. It is very easy open it, you take out the upper cover and there is a rubber gasket so that water doesn’t get in and everything is well adjusted so it doesn’t move with the jumps and movements that we’re going to give it. Nevertheless, it is very easy to touch everything and take it out, change one battery for another one, the controler… and withouth welding anything, everything with fast connectors, as when you open the computer. The upper part, the top of the scooter has two two sandpaper-like strips as a skateboard, this is so that it doesn’t slip, so that the feet have a good grip. And as I said before it’s pretty wide, so it can be used by two people going very close, but comfortably with both feet inside the board fully supported, without tiptoeing It is comfortable and the weight is not a problem, it can stand it without problem. The lower part is very well protected, it even has a bumper in the front so in case you hit a stone or something, it doesn’t affect the chassis or anything. In one side, there is a switch that works like the typical power strip, to turn it off completely and it is protected so that you can go through puddles and all that, and water doesn’t come in There is also, on one edge, another button that is like the typical one to turn on the computer, used to turn the front and rear lights on and off. I don’t like this very much because the button could be in the handle and it would be more comfortable because having to bend over is a bit uncomfortable Another thing that I like is that it remains foldable as any scooter so you can put it in trunk or in the co-driver’s seat without any trouble, and that is great. One of the best things is that there are spare parts for everything: engine, wheels, discs, everything and what’s more, interchangeable with parts of a standard bycicle for example the handlebar grips, the handle, the shank, all of this can be changed. But if you change it, it is going to be for personal taste, to be higher, or put a mirror or the mobile support or anything, more than because something breaks. Because it is so simple and resistant that even the most crappy pieces, like the mudguards that I thought “this is shitty plastic” well, you hit it and it’s super flexible, it stands hits, rocks and it’s much better than it seems. And now talking about the price, and not beating about the bush. It is really expensive, isn’t it? I already knew it, everything I like is expensive or illegal Well, a little, we’re not going to say it is cheap. Even so, do not run, it costs 3000 euros but there’s an alternative: walking. I’m joking, I mean this is the best, the range top, but there is one a bit worse, with worse finishes, more standard lights, all of that, the buttons being more plastic-like, which costs 1000€. it reaches 65 instead of 80, but it is still a lot of speed and a third of the price, so it is worth it. Even so, we are going to analyze everything; well, I analyze it and tell you, I’m sure you are all saying “for that money I buy a car” and yes, but the difference is not in inicial cost, but in the maintenance. A car, even if it is a gift, is going to cost you 1000€ per year and the scooter 0€, you save it. There’s no need to argue anything it’s awesome and in the end it is like spending 1000€ in a phone, clothes, a trip or a bycicle…and I like this a lot However, I had my doubts, because you if you can buy one for 300 or a little more which reaches 25 or 30km/h , you think “I don’t really need more. I’m only going from A to B, doing some kilometres” But when you try it, even if it is only the first hour, and then you go back to the usual scooter the one which reaches 25km/h you say “my god, how do I miss the power, the suspension, everything” It is more or less as when you go on holidays, to a place which is awesome, and when they finish and you go back to normal life, which isn’t bad but you think “how well I was there, on the beach” Well, this is pretty much the same feeling Another example, more extreme. Do you remember those with buttons, whose battery was endless which were very resistant, and cheap and they were the best for calling, writing sms, etc but of course, once you try the smartphone, with all its ineccessary apps and all those useless but cool things you think “how am I going to go back to the buttons”. Well, this is similar Nevertheless, I love both the same really, and it is not because the video is sponsored nor other video, or because I have been given the scooters (I haven’t) but because each of them is for a different use. For example, I’m just going to do a couple of km, and yes, I could walk and I am lazy bla bla bla; but I prefer to reach my destiny in 2 minutes than in 15 especially when it is at night, cold and I want to go to bed without loosing sleep for this use, I prefer the slow one, so to say which I can lift with one hand and I take it home or to the street without wasting time, as picking up an umbrella. And the other one, even if it is better, faster and everthing, is not the same So, to sum up, as I said at the beginning one is the usual one, more useful and the other one is awesome, to have fun. And I have enjoyed a lot.
