Noooooooo get off that stupid ebike
Weight is the killer. Hike a bike with 25kg is gonna wipe you out.
e-bikes are for old people imho hahaha
Great review Yuka. I dont think ill have one anytime soon but I guarantee when I'm older it would be a great option.
Traditional ebike is way too heavy for someone your size and weight. You would be way better off with something like that new specialized ebike. I think it’s ~15lbs lighter.
Awesome video. When did you guys do noble? Did i miss that video?
Eric is trying weird fork! What Eric think about Trust performance fork? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3fuzgq_rfU
Niiice yuka! regards from a spanish e-youtuber 🤣🤣🤣🤣
How does an E-Bike help when jumping or on a flow trail if you are not pedaling? How much power is consumed just do to the extra weight?
I think BKXC featured Spartan Rides not long ago, as well.
eBikes are fine as long as they are the pedal-assist variants. I don't consider eBikes that have throttles to be true mountain biking.
By the way, I truly enjoy the way you tell your story on this channel. I get excited to see when you've posted new videos.
Stay upright and keep the rubber side down!
Hi Yuka! The e-bike you were using should have had a walk-assist mode, which is meant to apply low power to the engine to help you walk the bike up obstacles you're unable to ride up. Of course, this won't help if you have to hoist the bike up and over huge obstacles, but it helps with general stuff that you're trying to push the bike up.
What some "old fashion" mtbikers don't get is that not only does ebikes help unfit riders but most importantly it does help fit riders as well. When my biggest outings were around 60 kms in a day now i can go longer and further and i'm still getting a proper workout and burn even more calories ! I use the eco mode most of the time and a bit of boost only when needed. Open your mind people
Ebikes aren't made for this kind of riding..
Mondraker Crafty carbon = 40 pounds
Great review Yuka. Thanks for sharing. I respect your perspective and opinion.
I've had an eBike for about 10 months now and love it. It does feel like a wild beast to tame as you ride uphill technical. I've learned to keep it out of Boost/Turbo mode for some sections. And yes, when you have to push it, it is quite a work out. You do start to learn some tricks on how to ride it with time. I LOVE mine. Fun to watch you trying it out.
Perfect riding expierience! As an Ebiker i would subscribe your summary. Lots of Trails have no Shuttleservice. Not all riders are so well trained. Your problem, would really be the charging for the next Trip! Hope you will not miss the power in the uphill 🤣. I like your style and adins. I wish I would be as good as you in Mountainbiking! 👍
Did you use walk mode when you had to push up hill? It helps a lot.
Erik,buy Yuka new kneepads
Yes 🤘and we already know that you can shred as good as anyone 🔥
Yuka, it takes a few weeks to adjust to the style of riding. The cheat code is in the cadence and mode. Use the mode like a front derailuer. Cadence: if you think you are in the right gear – drop one gear. Higher cadence is better for technique on the emtb. I bet you woke up and felt broad shouldered the next day. Remember. Treat the emtb like an outdoor trainer. Keep it spinning.
Most ebikes run plus size tires and lower psi in the those tires, I weigh around 85kg or 187 pounds and I run 19psi in the front and 21psi in the back. Plus you really need to get off the saddle for some tech climbs also shimano motors have a walk mode which self propels, great for the hike a bike terrain, did the shop not explain how to operate the modes? It will take America a while to catch up with the ebike idea as you really have been behind the 8 ball on this one, same initial resistance here but now extremely popular, even with the pros
Don't do it Yuka. 👎
I been in Phoenix and I love Sonora desert.
good balanced review. Your down hill more agressive for sure.
Gear selection is a big deal on an ebike. So is power mode. No need to add air pressure to your tires and you had walk assist on that particular bike. (Shamanno E8000 motor) still, you did great for your first ebike ride yay!!!
Great perspective on e-bikes. I think it’ll be a must in a few years when pedalling up isn’t easy anymore.
please review and ride all the eMTB's thx
